Each 12 months there is a large number of awesome international parties in Australia and one of the most eagerly awaited is the Gold Coast Indy 600. The Gold Coast Indy 600 has grown into an internationally identified celebration that includes a considerable range of recognised Australasian V8 drivers along with global racers among them the likes of Scott Pruett, Alex Tagliani, David Brabham and Jacques Villeneuve.

Despite a late race flat tire that necessitated an unplanned pit stop, Denny Hamlin raced like a madman down the stretch and took the checkered flag at Monday’s Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500 NASCAR race at West Virginia’s Martinsville Speedway. The race had been originally scheduled for Sunday, but was moved to Monday due to torrential rains. It was Hamlin’s third career victory on the oldest track on the NASCAR circuit.

Formula One racing as it is today developed from EU Grand Prix racing of the early 1900s. Though it’s still considered an EU sport, more of each season’s World Championship events are held at locations outside of Europe than in Europe itself. The top Formula One racing groups do have european home bases.
